Airport

Auckland Airport is located 21 km from the hotel. Airport transfers can be arranged at Reception through a local shuttle service or taxi company. The nearest bus stop is at the top of Hobson St., near Victoria St.

Breakfast

Breakfast is available in the restaurant from 7am - 10am daily.

Car Parking

Car Parking is available in the Wilson’s parking at 24 Mercury Lane which is a short walk to the hotel. This is a self-park service and guests may collect a parking ticket from reception at a cost of $35 per 24 hours.

Coffee & Tea

Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room. Tea & coffee supplies and milk are replenished on request.

Day Spa

Our luxurious day spa is located on level 1. It offers six treatment rooms including two double rooms plus a sauna and hot tub. Each treatment room has its own ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. The Spa offers a range of massage and body treatments and is open 10am-9pm Thu-Sat &10am - 8pm Sun-Wed.

Gym

The gym is located on ground floor and is open 6am -10pm. This facility is complimentary for all hotel guests however for safety reasons children under the age of 14 years are not permitted to use the gym.

Library Lounge

Located on the ground floor, the library lounge is your space to chill out in rock star comfort. This space may be booked out for exclusive hire.

Winter Garden

An indoor/outdoor paved area with an outdoor fire and a touch of glamour. This space is a natural extension to our restaurant and may be booked for exclusive use.

Gallery

Featuring stunning artworks from around New Zealand, the gallery is our light and bright co-working space off the Winter Garden. The space is equipped with a projector and screen and may be booked out for exclusive hire.

Emergency & Evacuation

In an Emergency dial 111. ABSTRACT ® Hotel & Residences is equipped with advanced safety technology and equipment to best ensure the safety of our guests. Your co-operation in familiarising yourself with the nearest exit stairwell to your room and the assembly area is essential for an effective evacuation. If you are hearing impaired or have a physical disability, please advise the Manager on Duty on check in as you may require assistance evacuating.

In the unlikely event that you discover a fire in the hotel, remain calm.

• Activate the nearest fire alarm button or contact reception

• Obey any announcements that may be made over the public address system. If the alarm is activated go to the nearest safe emergency exit and proceed as directed to the assembly area.

• Do not use elevators under any circumstances.

• If you encounter smoke, stay low to the ground and crawl to the nearest emergency exit.

In the event of an earthquake, drop, cover & hold until the shaking stops.

There is information for emergency procedures on the back of each room’s door to assist you. Please familiarize yourself with the Hotel’s evacuation procedures and emergency exits.

We have also implemented a range of energy saving initiatives. How you can help during your stay with our environmental initiatives:

• Water: Use water sparingly, taking shorter showers and re-use towels.

• Energy: Switch off lights and appliances when not in use.

• Waste: Reduce, reuse, recycle. Please separate your recycling from your waste and we will dispose of it appropriately when servicing your room.

Hairdryer

All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, this is kept in the bedroom drawer or the bathroom.

Housekeeping

All rooms are serviced on request. If you require additional towels, amenities or tea & coffee please contact Reception.

Ironing

For your convenience, a steam iron is located in your wardrobe; it is designed to be able to remove creases whilst the garment is on a hanger. Please check the heat setting before use and remember to switch the iron off after use.
